Ahead of the XL launch, we peppered our own Rishi Prabhu, CEO and FLIKRFIRE enthusiast, with some questions about the new XL.

Us: What’s got you most excited about the new design?

Rishi: The built-in snuffer in the base. This is both a beautiful fireplace and a gorgeous home decor piece when it’s not in use. So we wanted to be sure that everything had its place. And it fits in any type of home - from modern to rustic. That's what we love most about it.

Us: The base is totally new. Why the change?

Rishi: We updated the base to be made out of milled aluminum, versus felt from the last generation, so it is easier to use indoors and out.

Us: Nice segue. You’re definitely going to pick up a new XL – set the scene for us. You fire it up for the first time…

Rishi: Whiskey, smores, sitting in the den, music in the background.

Doesn’t that sound nice? And the s’mores are totally doable. XL’s flames are food-safe too, so if you order one, just make sure you’ve got some fresh 'mallows in the house..
