To further his art, Baltimore born Abdi Farah moved to New Orleans to take up a year-long residency for the St. Roch Community Church. In 2010 he won a televised artist competition and was awarded his first solo exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. He has since been featured at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and more.
