Indigo-obsessed textile expert Megan Mussari started Apprvl with a background in the fashion and textiles industry, and with a strong distaste for the harsh synthetic dyes used in mass production. While crafting her business with a backbone made from friendlier, safer, and way prettier dyes, she found her newest obsession in the ancient Japanese tradition of Shibori indigo dying, and this process has defined every product she's made since. Insisting that every offering be handmade and hand-dyed in Brooklyn, Megan's learned to embrace the uneven and imperfect nature of the dyeing process, insisting that each design is truly one-of-a-kind.
