After a combined 36 years of working for others, the founders of Audioengine decided to set out on their own, and in 2002 founded a company with the goal of designing high end audio equipment at affordable prices. Three years of success later, they discovered a way to use compressed files to replace an entire audio system with digital audio players, revolutionizing what is possible in home audio.
