Bruno Engler
Bruno Engler was a world-famous nature photographer born in Switzerland, later moving to Canada during WWII to begin his incredible career. Engler started as an acclaimed mountaineer, sought after by the Canadian government to help train its troops for mountainous conditions. During the 1950s, he became a correspondent for the CBC and started his own production company, Alpine Films, which consumed his next few decades. During his lifetime, Engler won multiple awards for his work in photography, including the Alberta Achievement Award for Excellence, the Premier Cup for Photography and Mountaineering, and the prestigious Rose Award.
