D'Angelo and The Vanguard
D'angelo is an R&B singer-songwriter and producer. He released his debut solo album in 1995 as part of the neo soul movement. After that, he went on a five year hiatus and released his most critically acclaimed album, Voodoo, in 2000, which won the Grammy for Best R&B Album and Best Male Vocals. After this win, he was catapulted to fame and chose to take another hiatus, this time lasting 14 years. Breaking his silence, he released his third album, Black Messiah, in 2014.
