In 1939, Duralex invented tempered glass and revolutionized the glassware industry. Over 75 years later, the company is still producing its line of original French tumblers, using the same toughened Picardie glass that it made famous, out of the same workshop in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, a small town in the heart of France.
