Modest Mouse
Born in the suburbs of the Pacific Northwest, Modest Mouse has been perfecting their energetic strain of indie rock since 1992. Taking their name from a story by Virginia Woolf, the band achieved indie darling-ness with the release of 2002's The Moon & Antartica. Their success turned mainstream with the platinum certification of Good News for People Who Love Bad News in 2004 and the addition of former Smiths guitarist, Johnny Marr, two years later.
