Formed in 1978, Santa Fe Stoneworks is a family-operated business based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Led by co-founder Bill Wirtel, the workshop is recognized as a leader in the field and has consistently produced a wide range of knives—from handmade collector’s items to affordably-priced gifts. For their distinct gemstone knife handles, Santa Fe Stoneworks utilizes a variety of minerals including turquoise, lapis, coral, azurite, and even dinosaur bone.
