The Clash

The Clash was an original wave British punk band, formed in 1976 and disbanded in 1986. The group prided themselves on politically charged lyrics brought to life by late gravel-voiced vocalist Joe Strummer. Legions of fans the world over are inclined to agree with CBS Record's description of the The Clash as "the only band that matters."
