Sidewinder Knife

Part knife, part sculpture

Named for the oscillating tracks left in the sand by its serpentine familiar, the Sidewinder is a sharp stainless steel knife disguised as a mystifying kinetic sculpture. Rather than a fixed handle, it has an interlocking mechanical hilt and two opposing elements moving in sympathy with the blade to produce a truly unique unsheathing mechanism. It’s perfectly pocketable but remains equally content to be displayed, proudly soaking in the wonder and admiration its curious form will undoubtedly attract.

  • A sculpture of a pocket knife with serpentine motion at its core
  • Stone-washed and PVD-coated handle
  • Interlocking mechanical hilt
  • Stainless steel blade
  • Liner lock
  • Made in collaboration with Chen Chen and Kai Williams
  • Closed: (L) 4” x (W) 1.5” x (H) .5”
