Ready to take real pictures again? The Impossible Project has been making instant film for vintage cameras for years but the I-1 is an entirely new ball game: it's the first new camera in over 20 years that uses instant Polaroid film. In addition to the ability to grant instant film gratification, the camera has some modern updates that add creativity to the mix. The 12 LED flash ring is great for taking portraits in diffused light, while the timer and trigger functions broaden your shutterbug abilities. Manual mode lets you take control, or let the camera do the work with five auto-focus levels. Finally, the I-1 app let's you play with digital effects like superimposing images, messing with paint and light, and even triggering a shot with a loud noise.
Add the optional custom carrying case and strap and you've got yourself some seriously convenient investment protection. It's lined with molten foam for added security and features a quick magnetic snap that makes for easy access. Thanks to some crafty design, you can use the camera in the case or out, making it easy to grab that impromptu shot. The soft strap for the neck and hand mean you're ready to make some hard-copy memories without dropping your machine.
