Knife Sharpener

Stay sharp.

A dull knife is asking for trouble, and makes your job twice as hard and three times more dangerous than it has to be. This sharpener lets you grind a finer edge from the comfort of your kitchen. Hold the sharpener against a flat surface, then draw the knife from heel to tip through the first set of stones next to the handle, all the while keeping it perpendicular to the sharpener. Start with moderate pressure, then decrease the pressure as you continue. Repeat that on the second set of stones to polish the edge, and add a greater level of sharpness. After that, it's time to start slicing.

  • North American maple
  • Mineral oil finish
  • Not dishwasher safe
  • Care: clean with small brush, water, and scouring powder

To use, hold the sharpener against a flat surface, then draw the knife from heel to tip through the set of stones closest to the handle. Be sure to keep the blade perpendicular to the sharpener. Start with moderate pressure, then decrease pressure as you continue. Repeat this between the second set of stones to polish the edge and add sharpeness.

To clean: use a small brush, water, and scouring powder.
