Hot Mess Sauce

Can you handle the heat of this Southern-style sauce?

Barbecuing is a way of life in the South, like sweet tea and church on Sundays. Boasting three generations of Southern 'que mastery, Lillie's Q is no stranger to 'cue classics like ribs, chicken, and even whole hog, so you can be sure their collection of BBQ essentials are the real deal. The bottles are impressive in and of themselves — sturdy glass and wax-dipped caps — but what’s inside is where the stuff really delivers.

The Hot Mess sauce is made by marinating vinegar in pickled cayenne peppers for days. The leftover peppers are then mixed with pimientos, cane sugar vinegar, and dried scotch bonnet peppers to make one spicy sauce for your favorite meat.

  • 8 oz. bottle
