Early Stories of Truman Capote

Truman, before he was Capote.

These short stories are some of Truman Capote’s first, rediscovered in the New York Public Library’s archives and representing the work he completed in his teens and early twenties. In over a dozen stories, there is the seed that would grow into Breakfast at Tiffany’s and In Cold Blood. There is that peculiar, heartfelt, and specific voice we now know as pure Capote. With it, there is the joy of rediscovering talent in reverse, and that special pleasure of knowing what the future has in store.
