Ivan Ramen

Ramen from the inside out.

In 2007, Ivan Orkin, a middle-aged Jewish man from Long Island, went to Tokyo and opened up a ramen shop. From that improbable start, Ivan Ramen has transformed into a global brand, sharing responsibility for the reinvention of ramen in American high-cuisine. This book is part memoir and part cookbook, providing insight into Orkin's story, the history of ramen, and over forty recipes for everything from noodles to broth to toppings.
