New England Oyster Shucking Knife

Look out, oysters.

The hardened high-carbon stainless steel, hand-polished brass and sturdy wood on this thing makes shucking oysters an absolute breeze. It’s so good, in fact, that it’s popular with competitive shuckers (seriously, that’s a real thing). The lengthy crafting process is all done in a small Massachusetts shop, using a steel-cutting machine that’s been in service since WWII. The blade is rolled to perfect straightness, then finished with several treatment processes for a perfect blade and fitted into a wooden handle that’s also made in-house.

  • Blade length: 2.63"
  • Handle length: 3.88"
  • Works well on most small to medium East & West Coast oysters
  • Bubinga wood handle
  • Made in Ayer, MA using US-sourced steel
