Classics is almost entirely instrumental, but you won't hear us complaining. The second full length album from Ratatat is a product of Mike Stroud and Evan Mast, and makes sleigh bells and cello as essential to rock music as guitar and bass. The layering harmonies are an endless delight, combining dub tempos and hip-hop struts into a single, satisfying sound.

Evan Mast and Mike Stroud make noise beyond their numbers as the tinkerers behind electronic rock outfit Ratatat. After meeting at Skidmore College, Mast and Stroud's original name for the project was Cherry, under which they released their first single in 2003. The duo have gone on to launch multiple global tours featuring groundbreaking visual support, five well-received studio albums, and a pair of tasty remix records.
