An American-made timepiece with American-made style. This beauty from Shinola uses a unique argonite quartz movement, which uses nearly four dozen Swiss-made parts and is assembled by highly trained local craftsmen in the brand’s Detroit workshop. The dial features bold Super-LumiNova printed numbers and a remote secondhand sweep. And the laser-etched case is built from solid stainless steel with a secure screw-down crown. It’s all set onto a rich, domestically-manufactured, natural leather strap, which will become even softer and more supple the more you wear it.
This one nails the understated style. The American-made lather strap is finished with tonal stitching, and the face has a simple black and white contrast, plus some very subtle orange detailing.
