The Police came out of the New Wave scene in '70s London, and were the first in the genre to reach mainstream success. Leaders of the so-called second British Invasion, they're one of the best-selling musical acts of all time, and have won six Grammys in addition to being inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
