The Smiths at the Venue – 1983

Stop me if you think you've heard this one before.

Real fans know that Morrissey is nothing without the rest of The Smiths. There is no '80s English alt-rock without them, and half of those who came after wouldn't have been inspired to get out of bed without their contribution to the scene. The band's complex, literate lyrics were often delivered with a dark sense of humor the band became known for. This technicolor graphic pays tribute, featuring a show at the Venue in 1983 .
