This is good material thick and studey and true to the picture. Love this jacket
The Barnstormer Jacket originated in early aviation, worn by daredevil pilots in open cockpits who needed protection from freezing winds. It evolved into essential workwear for ranchers, oil workers, and anyone facing long days in harsh conditions — the kind of jacket James Dean wore in Giant, playing a ranch hand who strikes it rich in oil. The design thrives on pure function: heavy-duty cotton, a wind-blocking high collar, and well-positioned pockets for actual use while working.
Fieldworth’s version honors that workwear foundation while refining the details for improved performance. Double welt pockets feature reinforced triangle bartacks at stress points, with the same treatment on waist pockets for lasting durability. Cathedral sleeve tabs with adjustable buttons let you cinch the cuffs against wind, while elastic cuffs seal out cold air.

When I tried the jacket on inside the house with the AC blasting, I warmed up immediately. The fit is perfect for me & the attention to detail is impressive. I’m looking forward to wearing it for years to come.
