The Dean Tee
The white tee started as a standard military issue — an undershirt worn beneath other layers. But by the early ‘50s that all changed. What was once an undergarment rarely seen in public became the new uniform of a generation, thanks to guys like Dean. Knit in Portugal with no side seams, this one is made like the original.
The construction is simple: a single tube of fabric with no side seams. It’s not the cheapest way to make a tee, but it’s the best. A continuous loop of cotton drapes over the body without clinging or blousing out. Ours has been reconstructed exactly like the one James Dean wore.
100% Pre-shrunk cotton delivers a classic fit. Made in Portugal using traditional tubular knit construction. The kind of tee made to hold up over time and improve as you wear it.
