I loved these so much that I bought another color. Tough, look great for a casual dinner night out, or just to run to the hardware store. All my friends ask where I got them!
Inspired by American World War II uniforms, which established cotton fabrics as field standards, Line of Trade’s best-selling Officer Chino unifies old-school style with modern, everyday wear. The heavy garment wash gives it a broken-in feel that gets more familiar with every wear. High-quality cotton provides a soft, purposeful texture – and always looks good, no matter what year it is.

I saw an add for these on instagram and loved the look. They look even better in person, and I have gotten both looks and compliments while wearing them.

My first impression was the feel of the tight weave and the heft of the fabric. These are not insubstantial pants! Stitching is tight and clean, too, no stray threads hanging out. Likewise, the material that the pockets are made from are also heavier duty material so that keys and coins will not prematurely wear through the pockets like cheap chinos do. My only nitpick is that they seem to run a little small in the waist. The price is definitely fair because these aren't pants I'll wear for just a season and then they are worn out. These will be in rotation for a good long while.
The Officer Chino has a military-inspired straight cut with a slightly higher waistline than most modern trousers. It's not a slim fit — reviewers describe it as roomy through the thigh with a clean, unfussy silhouette that's comfortable for all-day wear.
Yes — the heavy garment wash is what sets these apart from a standard chino. The cotton comes out of the box already broken in, with a soft, purposeful texture that only improves with wear. Reviewers consistently confirm the broken-in feel is real from the first wear, not something that requires multiple washes.
They run slightly large, particularly in the inseam — customer service notes the length runs long, and several reviewers found sizing down in length while keeping their usual waist gave the best fit. Following the size guide is consistently recommended. The waist fits true but the leg is generous.
Very. Reviewers wear them to work, church, date nights, travel, and casual days — several describe them as their go-to jeans replacement. The military-inspired styling and high-quality cotton construction dress up easily with a button-down and wear just as naturally with a tee. One reviewer called them perfect for a full day of walking in Europe.
The high-quality cotton construction is built for longevity — garment washed to ensure stability from the start. Reviewers who've washed them many times report no significant fading or distortion, and note the fabric actually gets more comfortable with each wash cycle. Overall construction quality is widely praised across hundreds of reviews.
