Marcellin has put together a line of cast iron cookware that really stacks up against the competition. Each piece is designed with an octagonal shape that makes nesting them into one another an easy task — without the wobbly, unsteady fit you find in circular cookware.
This lid is part of the Marcellin 4-in-1 Cast Iron Stack set, and is compatible with all heat sources (even ovens, grills, and open flames), and is built to last a lifetime.

For Best Performance:
- Season your cast iron frequently, as this builds its non-stick finish over time.
- Always wash your cast iron by hand. Never put your cast iron in the dishwasher.
- After cleaning, use a towel to dry your cast iron, then finish drying it on the stovetop or in the oven.
- Do not air dry your cast iron, and never store it while wet, as rust may develop.
Before First Use:
- Your cast iron arrives pre-seasoned and ready to use, but like any new cookware, we recommend washing it with warm water and towel drying it before first use.
- After cleaning, we also recommend an at-home seasoning to kick-start the formation of a non-stick finish on the cooking surface.
Seasoning:
- Use a clean kitchen towel to wipe down all surfaces with cooking oil until evenly covered with a thin layer.
- Wipe out any excess oil, then place the cookware face down in the oven at 450° for one hour.
- The surfaces of your cast iron will absorb the oil and help create a non-stick finish while also inhibiting rust.
General Cleaning:
- Always hand wash your cast iron. Allow it to cool after cooking, then wipe out any remaining food with a paper towel. Rinse with warm water and use a natural-fiber brush to clean all surfaces. If needed, add coarse salt or a drop of mild soap and repeat.
- To get rid of stubborn bits of residue, gently scrub the surface with a chain mail scrubber.
- Avoid hard metal cleaning tools, scour pads, or harsh detergents, as these can strip the cast iron of its seasoning.
- We recommend seasoning your cookware after every wash. The more you use and season your cast iron, the better it will perform over time.
- Never put cast iron in the dishwasher. Do not air dry your cast iron, and never store it while wet, as rust may develop.
- Dry it completely on the stovetop or in the oven using low heat to evaporate all remaining moisture.
