Manufacturer Recommendations:
- Medium-coarse grind, like coarse sand or sea salt; pre-ground, bagged coffee tends to be too finely ground for ideal operation
- Bleached (white) coffee filters; brown unbleached filters may leave a “cardboard” taste in your coffee; permanent wire-mesh type filters can quickly clog with coffee oils
Use water you would drink (fresh tap, filtered, or bottled water); reverse osmosis filtered water or distilled water are not recommended, as they can damage the boiling element
Recommended/Industry Standard Water-to-Coffee Ratio for Optimal Flavor2 tbsp. of ground coffee to every 6 oz. of water (55 grams of ground coffee per liter)
