Bumper V-2 Launch – Limited Edition Giclée Print
Everyone's got to start somewhere. And that even goes for astronauts. This breathtaking shot, printed with archival inks on hot press paper, documents the first ever NASA launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, almost 20 years before we made it to the moon. These rocket tests were a necessary precursor to manned space flight, and this one in particular reached a record height of 400 km over Earth's surface (that's higher than today's shuttles go). It's always good to know your roots.
