Oru Kayak Oru Kayak Inlet

The Inlet is the lightest, most portable, and easiest to assemble of Oru's line of folding kayaks. Intended for use in calm, smooth bodies of water, it's stable and tracks well, but is also nimble and playful—there's even extra room for a furry friend or a young aspiring kayaker.

It also takes just 3-5 minutes to assemble, with an adjustable footrest and backrest for extra comfort, and velcro-attached fairings with a strap handle for easy transport. Removable bulkheads aid in strengthening the kayak's structure while providing an organized space for your gear, while buckles and a tension strap lock the kayak into place and add rigidity.

At 20 pounds, the Inlet is half the weight of a traditional kayak—but lightweight doesn't mean a lack of strength. Each of Oru's origami kayaks is created from 5 mm double-layered, custom-extruded polypropylene with a 10-year UV treatment. That means they can withstand sliding over rocks without scratching, bumping into obstacles without puncturing, and folding up to 20,000 times without weakening. So go ahead—take it on your next hike and open it up on remote waters you could never have imagined kayaking before.
