I was looking for a nice jacket for my bike and this one looks amazing in the olive color. Very happy with my purchase!
We partnered with Schott NYC, the brand behind some of the most iconic leather jackets in American history, to make this limited-edition future heirloom. The Roughout Leather Rancher is based on a 1930s-era style from Schott’s archives, updated by Bespoke Post with contemporary design details that retain that cool spirit of rebellion epitomized by James Dean and Marlon Brando. With its suede-like texture and rugged look, our unlined Rancher stands out from traditional leather jackets – it’ll break in right away, like a sturdy overshirt that’s made to be worn hard.
Lightly fitted with a relaxed feel. See size chart for US standard suit/coat size conversion.

Love this piece! Tried on the smooth version Rancher in NYC and loved it but over 1K. Wish the roughout was lined. . only thing missing to make it perfect.

Schott is synonymous with the phrase “leather jacket” and they certainly have a plethora to choose from. I decided to go with the Bespoke Post x Schott Roughout Leather Rancher Jacket because it was different, and I’m glad I did. I love the look & feel of roughout leather and I’m a big fan of the contrast leather collar. Good work with this one.

Simply the best - so cool and the quality is amazing
Roughout leather is the inner split of the hide, aggressively buffed to create a matte, napped texture similar to suede but more rugged. Each jacket has natural highs and lows from the hide making it genuinely one of a kind. It starts soft and molds to your body quickly — breaking in like a heavy overshirt rather than stiff leather.
Yes — a limited-edition collaboration custom-made by Schott NYC for Bespoke Post, based on a 1930s archive style. Schott has made leather jackets in America since 1913. The hide is mid-weight USA cowhide tanned in North America, and each jacket is handmade in the USA.
Each colorway is genuinely distinct. Saddle features a waxy natural pebble cowhide collar in Mocca brown with antique copper hardware. Olive has a Horween vintaged cowhide collar in black with antiqued brass. Indigo uses a water buffalo collar in black with antiqued nickel. Collar material, texture, and hardware all differ.
Lightly fitted with a relaxed feel — see the size chart for US suit/coat size conversion. It has enough room to layer a tee or light shirt comfortably underneath. For heavier flannel or sweater layering, sizing up gives more room.
Remove light surface dirt with a soft dry brush. For deeper cleaning, take to a leather specialist — do not machine wash or soak. The roughout leather is designed to develop a personal patina over time; marks and wear are part of its character, not damage.
