Not smell proof. The jars and tunes are great but the container itself not worth the purchase.

I like the separation and storage. It's sleek and compact and locks well for the amount I have on hand.. It is however advertised as smell proof and this was a huge disappointment. It is not smell proof. I had to unfortunately remove it from my livingroom and into my bedroom because my entire living room was engulfed with herb aroma, but now my bedroom smells like herb.. I would return it but I had already discarded the box. I plan on giving this away and gift this to my sons college friend who doesn't care if the aroma engulfs his place. If you want the storage go for it, but if you were really looking for a case to contain the odor I suggest you look somewhere else. I'm actually very surprised I'm the only reviewer to state this.
