Truffle Mustard
Brat's best friend.
The NYC-based condiment artisans at Truffleist present some very nice German mustard, infused with black summer truffles from northern Italy. The mustard base itself is a traditional blend by Bauer, made in Ridgewood, Queens since 1888. The Italian truffles lend the mustard a richer, earthier flavor profile - which goes great with sandwiches, mixed into a vinaigrette, and obviously, on bratwurst.

Truffle Mustard Grilled Cheese
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 2 ciabatta
- 1 c shredded swiss
- 1/2 c shredded gruyere
- The Truffleist Truffle Mustard
- Unsalted butter
Directions:
- Slice ciabattas in half lengthwise. Butter the outside of the bread, and spread mustard on one side of the inside of the bread.
- Heat pan, then toast bread butter side down. Add shredded cheese, and once it begins to melt, combine halves and press together.
- Serve with cornichons.
