Truffle Mustard

The NYC-based condiment artisans at Truffleist present some very nice German mustard, infused with black summer truffles from northern Italy. The mustard base itself is a traditional blend by Bauer, made in Ridgewood, Queens since 1888. The Italian truffles lend the mustard a richer, earthier flavor profile - which goes great with sandwiches, mixed into a vinaigrette, and obviously, on bratwurst.

Truffle Mustard Grilled Cheese
Serves 2

Ingredients:

• 2 ciabatta
• 1 c shredded swiss
• 1/2 c shredded gruyere
• The Truffleist Truffle Mustard
• Unsalted butter

Directions:

1. Slice ciabattas in half lengthwise. Butter the outside of the bread, and spread mustard on one side of the inside of the bread.
2. Heat pan, then toast bread butter side down. Add shredded cheese, and once it begins to melt, combine halves and press together.
3. Serve with cornichons.
4. Enjoy!
