When assembled, the Compact Chair Shade easily adjusts with front sliders so you can customize the coverage and keep the rays at bay with a UV-protective silver backing. The design uses a pole-and-hub system to lock everything into place, taking cues from classic tentmakers.
It's lightweight, easy to assemble, and pack up — making it a must-have for camping trips, sports games, or trips to the local park.

- Build your chair frame like normal, but leave off the fabric of the chair for now
- Slide the connectors onto the back poles of the chair frame (with the wide opening facing up) and screw the center disk to secure it in place
- Place a large loop of paracord on each front seat pole
- Attach the chair mesh to the frame, top side first
- Slide the straight shade poles into the connectors on the back so that the crossed poles hang over the chair
- Attach the shade material to the frame with corner pulls in front and adjustable D-rings in back
- Clip paracord hangers to the front corners of the shade and adjust for coverage
