Recipe: Rum Manhattan
We know what you're thinking: A manhattan with rum? But trust us: an aged rum has a dark, boozy complexity that gives this classic cocktail a new twist.
- Pour 1 1/2 oz of Zacapa rum, 3/4 oz. Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, and 3 dashes of orange or Angostura bitters into a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir thoroughly to evenly chill the drink, taking care not to break the ice cubes.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, garnish with cherries, and serve.
There you have it: incredibly simple to make, but with a new aspect to impress even the most die-hard whiskey snob.
